About deductibles

A deductible is the amount you need to pay before we pay for a particular cost. You pay the deductible directly to the health provider at your travel destination.

You don't have to choose a deductible, but it's an option for certain products with medical insurance. Choosing a higher deductible can lower the price of your insurance.

For Visitors to Canada policies:

There is a $0 Default Deductible.
